An Unconventional Journey to Tech

“You must understand that there is more than one path to the top of the mountain.” ― Miyamoto Musashi

My path to tech wasn’t straightforward. With a resume that didn’t align with my aspirations, I found myself at a standstill during the pandemic. The confinement spurred a realization: my potential to solve complex problems belonged in the tech world. So I took the leap and joined a coding bootcamp.

I quickly discovered a passion for programming, bringing ideas to life with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Working with frameworks like React and Redux, collaborating with others, and even winning first place in my first hackathon, sponsored by Citi, reinforced my decision.

This momentum carried me to an apprenticeship at a well known fitness company, contributions to a cybersecurity startup, and creating various projects in different tech stacks.

Today, as a Kura Labs fellow, I’m expanding my expertise into cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and cybersecurity. My journey is one of perseverance, a quality I bring to every challenge.

Let’s make things happen together.
